About the Client
Protective Leather is one of India’s established leather gloves manufacturers, operating out of the Calcutta Leather Complex with a production capacity running into hundreds of thousands of square feet of leather annually. Their product range spans two distinct markets: industrial gloves, i.e driver, Canadian rigger, and welder variants built for hazardous work environments and fashion gloves for men and women that carry the same craft heritage into a lifestyle context.
When they came to Nullstacks, the gap was straightforward. The manufacturing capability, the certifications, the export relationships with buyers in the UK, UAE, and the United States, all of it existed. What did not exist was any digital infrastructure capable of communicating it.
There was no website that could serve a procurement manager in Birmingham at the same time as a fashion buyer in Dubai. There was no Google Business Profile that could surface the brand for local industrial buyers in Kolkata. There was no search visibility for the
keywords their buyers were actually using. The brief was to fix all of that and in the right order, without overengineering a solution that
the client’s team could not maintain.

WordPress and Elementor – The Correct Tool for This Problem
Protective Leather did not need a custom application. They needed a website that could serve a product catalogue to an international B2B audience, load quickly on mobile, and be maintainable by a lean internal team without ongoing developer dependency. WordPress with Elementor was the right answer and we treated it with the same architectural discipline we bring to custom builds.
The site structure was designed around two clear product hierarchies, Industrial and Fashion. Within Industrial, three sub-categories were Driver, Canadian Rigger, and Welders each received dedicated category pages built with individual SEO targets, not templated copy. The same logic applied to the Fashion vertical, with separate pages for men’s and women’s ranges. This gave Google a clean topical map of the site from day one and ensured that category-level search intent “leather gloves manufacturer India”,”leather gloves exporter in India”,”leather hand gloves supplier in India” had a properly structured landing destination.
The homepage was built to communicate three things above the fold, what the company makes, who it makes it for, and where to go next. International sales contacts for India, the UK, the UAE, Europe and the United States were made immediately accessible because a procurement manager who cannot find a phone number within ten seconds of landing leaves.
The Certificates page displaying the compliance documentation that B2B industrial buyers require before any procurement conversation was treated as a trust signal, not an afterthought. It sits in the primary navigation.
The entire build was completed and handed over for review within one month of kickoff.
The SEO Programme
Website SEO – Keyword Architecture for a Dual-Market Business
Protective Leather operates in a niche where the buyer’s language is specific. “leather safety gloves manufacturer” and “industrial leather hand gloves manufacturer” carry very different intent than “men’s leather driving gloves.” Conflating them into a single keyword strategy would have diluted both.
We built separate keyword clusters for the industrial and fashion verticals and mapped them to the page hierarchy established during the build phase. Category pages were optimised with on-page copy written for both search relevance and buyer confidence addressing material specifications, production standards, and export capability in language that a procurement professional would recognise as credible.
Title tags, meta descriptions, header hierarchies, image alt text, and internal linking were all treated as a coherent system, not a checklist. The site was submitted to Google Search
Console at launch, the sitemap was verified, and indexation was monitored from week one.
Google Business Profile – Local Visibility for a Manufacturing Business

Local search visibility matters for domestic B2B buyers, industrial procurement does not always start with an international directory. It often starts with “leather gloves manufacturer near me” or “industrial gloves supplier Kolkata.”
The Google Business Profile was built and optimised from the ground up like correct primary and secondary categories, a keyword-grounded business description, full product and service listings, geo-tagged imagery from the production facility, and a review collection process to build rating velocity. The profile is now ranking across multiple relevant local and category queries, creating a discovery channel that operates independently of the website.
What This Engagement Proves
Protective Leather is a manufacturing business with serious export credentials and a product range that competes on quality. The website and SEO programme built for them does not obscure that it surfaces. The catalogue is findable. The certifications are visible. The international contact infrastructure works.
